By the time summer came around, it was clear that a September release wasn't possible. Due to the pandemic, however, the film's release date was initially pushed back to September 2020. Originally set to release in theatres in March 2020, A Quiet Place 2 was arguably one of the most highly anticipated films of that year.
The choice likely contributed to A Quiet Place 2's box office dominance however, it has also meant many were unable to view the film on its opening weekend. The horror sequel debuted in theatres only on May 28, 2021, albeit at very limited capacities and in select cities only. With the recent success of the theatrical release of A Quiet Place Part II, many are now wondering when the movie will be available on streaming services.
